Who Are We?
Leemore and Helen met two years ago through the Doula network, they have become a close network for each other, supporting and assisting each other in regards to the work. They both are very passionate about the childbirth/postnatal issues in Ireland and are keen to promote that mothers have the choice in their birth and who they wish to support them.
Leemore Butler

My name is Leemore Blitzblau Butler, mother of two and a wife/partner of one, living in Dublin west. I have 20 years experience with children but passionate about childbirth since I can remember. It was always important to me to go through childbirth myself before I would help other moms to be in labour.
It is a privilege to “mother the mother” {be a Doula} in one of the most magic moments in our lives. AS a birthing Doula I meet the parents a few times before birth. Join them in the labour and will continue to meet a few times after for support. I am a member of DONA international and follow the vision: A Doula for every woman who wants one.
For the last 6 years I have also been teaching baby massage and I am a board member in the BMI {Baby massage Ireland} baby massage is a lovely gentle way of bonding with baby and as a doula it is another gift that I love to share with parent.
Helen Geraghty

My name is Helen Geraghty, I am a mother of two, living in the south Dublin area. I have 15 years experience of working with children from 0-12 years. I initially trained as a nursery nurse/childcare worker in the U.K. After the birth of my son in 2005 I came across the word 'Doula' and was very interested in training to become one after my experience of birth and postnatal issues. I trained with Doula Ireland in 2006 and now work antenatal, birth and postnatal as a doula. I have been working as a postnatal doula for two years now. I am offering my services to mothers in the Dublin area and surrounding counties.`
